The Lord Of The Rings Series Book Review



The Lord of the Rings Series is written by J.R.R Tolkien. The Lord of the Rings is a well known series which has been read by millions of people around the world. In ancient times Sauron,the Dark Lord, forged a ring pouring his power and cruelty into it so that he could rule all the peoples of Middle-Earth. With this ring he began to draw to himself an army to destroy all peoples, but some fought back. An alliance was formed between elves and men to destroy Sauron once and for all.  The Alliance marched to Mordor, stronghold of Sauron, and fought against Sauron's mighty army. The Alliance won that battle and Sauron's great ring was cut from his finger. After many years the ring fell by chance into the possession of the most unlikely person, Frodo Baggins, a hobbit. After Frodo realizes what the ring is and that Sauron is searching for him, he takes off on a quest to destroy the ring with the hobbits, Pippin, Merry and Sam, the elf Legolas, the dwarf Gimli, Gandalf the gray, and men Boromir and Aragorn heir to the throne of Gondor. This book series follows the journeys of the fellowship from the Shire, home of the Hobbits, to Mordor the heart of Sauron's realm.

The Call Of The Wild Book Review


The Call Of The Wild  is a classic written about a dog living in the harsh wilderness of Alaska written by Jack London. Buck is a simple dog living in a small valley in warm southern California. He has a relatively easy life until one night Buck is stolen from his house and is whisked away from southern California and is soon in Alaska where strong, hardy dogs are needed to carry supplies across the wilderness.  He teams up with several other dogs to carry supplies to many different towns in Alaska. But all is not well within the dog team. Spitz, the team leader has developed a grudge against Buck and is finding any way to eliminate Buck! Soon Buck and Spitz find themselves in a showdown. Only one dog will walk out alive and both Buck and Spitz are determined not to be the one left on the ground.
